Follow the steps below to reinstall an optical drive:
-Click on Start and then Control Panel.
-Click on the button in the upper left hand corner labeled “Switch to Classic View”
-Double Click on System
-In System, click on the Hardware Tab.
-In the Hardware Tab, click on Device Manager.
-In the Device Manager, double click on “DVD/CD-ROM Drives”
-Double click on what appears below “DVD/CD-ROM Drives“.
-In the Device Properties box, click on the Driver Tab
-In the Driver Tab, click on Uninstall Driver
-Shutdown and restart the computer.
