When I tried to install Sound Blaster X-Fi Utility, Kaspersky Anti-Virus software displays a Riskware Warning Message. I am really worried. Is this software unsafe?
Please don’t worry. The bundled Sound Blaster X-Fi Utility is completely safe. The Riskware Warning Message is the result of Kaspersky Anti-Virus’s “Proactive Defense” which detected a child processes launched by the Sound Blaster X-Fi utility setup program. Please use any of the following methods to resolve this issue:
1) Please install Sound Blaster X-Fi Utility before installing Kaspersky Anti-Virus software. This should avoid the issue.
2) Please press “Skip” to ignore the Riskware Warning Message. Sound Blaster X-Fi Utility can still be installed successfully.
